Waterville School is proud to share the inspiring efforts underway to support our local community this holiday season. In partnership with the Waterville Food Bank and some of our dedicated 5th grade students, Rose Osborne and her 5th grade peers have launched a school-wide food drive to help fill the shelves for the winter months.
The drive began on November 17th and will continue through December 17th, giving students, families, and community members the opportunity to contribute to an important cause. Thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of our youth, over 1,000 food items have already been collected, with a collective goal of reaching 2,000 items by the final day of the drive.
This project highlights the power of youth leadership and community collaboration. We are incredibly proud of Rose and all the students who are stepping up to make a difference. Their hard work ensures that families in Waterville can access the support they need throughout the holiday season and into winter.
Donations are still being accepted, and every contribution helps strengthen our community. Thank you to everyone who has supported this effort so far—together, we can reach our goal!

Student and Staff Safety is a Priority
The safety of our students and staff who attend Waterville Schools is a priority. With this in mind, the school administration, and with School Board support, have invested in more security cameras on campus this year, installed security cameras on our school busses and have committed to partnering with the Chelan County Corrections Department Drug Task Force who provides a drug sniffing dog to the schools.
Deputy Skyler Silsby will bring in this well-trained dog upon request by the administration.
